Mnangagwa urges Mugabe to quit, Impeachment process to begin as Mugabe remains defiant

    Zimba-bwe’s Ex vice-president, Emmerson Mnan-gagwa has urged President Robert Mugabe to resign from his post immediately. Emmerson said that he went abroad two weeks ago when he learned about a conspiracy to kill him and would not return until he was sure of his security. On Monday, General Constantino Chiwenga informed the reporter that President Robert Mugabe started to work towards a definitive solution and roadmap for the country. His comments came after Mugabe ignored a deadline to offer his resignation which was imposed by the ruling ZANU-PF party. The 93-year-old leader, Robert Mugabe who was the President of Zimbabwe since independence in 1980 was now facing the threat of impeachment. The ruling Zanu-PF party has decided to begin impeachment proceedings in the parliament on Tuesday. Vice president requested President Mugabe in a statement that he should think about the people and resign immediately so that Zimbabwe could move forward and preserve his legacy.
