Dhaka South City Corporation has initiated the mission to take away the vehicles from the city street, those may compromise the road safety. They will keep confiscating & fining vehicles over 20 years old, unfit & expired, if found running on the city streets of Dhaka, for next 1 month.
On the first day yesterday, DSCC & DMP have filed 66 cases, fined 1.27 lacs taka, and confiscated 2 car dumping & 14 vehicles with improper papers. The operation was conducted from Golap Shah Majar to Khilgaon area. It did not create any inconvenience to the daily traffic.
