Aniruddha kumar Roy yesterday has sent a letter to media, returning home 81 days after his abduction. In the letter written on a pad of his own business organization RMM group, he alleged vengeance of his busisness partners might be reason behind his abduction.However, there was no mention of his whereabouts during the days after his abduction till his return on the day before yesterday in the letter signed by him.The businessman, also an honorary consuls of the republic of Belarus, was kidnapped on August 27, since he remained missing till his return on November 17.He wrote in the letter: “I am Aniruddha Roy, managing director of RMM group have been victimized by business rivalry. My business partner, Mohiuddin Ahmed and his gang left no stone unturned to grab RMM leather industries Limited, RMM knit clothing Limited and RMM sweater limited,the business concerns worth of more than TK 150 crore that I myself established. I was abducted when I was returning after a meeting at Union Bank from in front of the building at Gulshan-1at 4.30 pm on August 27.” Probably it happened due to their vengeance, he said. Aniruddha Roy also alleged they tried to harm him in different ways in his absence that include illegally impeding issuance of shipment certificate of his firm LIB using the power of the chairman of BFLLFEA ( Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leather Goods and Footwear Exporters Association), receiving TK5 crore of the company in their personal account, attempting to create adverse atmosphere in factory by threatening factory workers among different ways, removing important documents from his room in his absence. However, he managed to endure with all the pressure exerted in a bid to make him sign for the transfer of his property in their names after the abduction. Aniruddha Roy urged to the prime minister Sheikh Hasina for his justice and security.The seven time recognised as Commercially Important Persons (CIP), Aniruddha Roy was abducted by a group of 7-8 men on a microbus, identifying themselves as intelligence personnel.
His nephew, Kallol Roy, filed a general diary with Gulshan police after his abduction.
