Telecommunications and Information Technology, Tarana Halim. She urged to stop illegal importing, creating skilled manpower & as attractive technological market for foreign investment. Meantime on last June, she issued only 1% tax rate, for the manufacturing of handsets locally & buying of the necessary machines.
Walton Company has already requested for the permission of handset manufacturing & marketing in Bangladesh. They aim to distribute 50 lacs mobile phones, as per their proposal. Symphony & Okapia also shared interest of manufacturing & marketing their products here, added Minister Tarana Halim.
