PayPal will benefit freelancers and expatriates: Palak

    State Minister of Post, Telecommunications & Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that 5 lakh freelancers and 1 crore expatriates will be benefited from the introduction of PayPal services in the country. He said this on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
    The State Minister said PayPal services are currently operating in 203 countries of the world. PayPal’s full-time service is only available in 29 countries and inbound services are available in 103 countries.Anybody with PayPal account from USA can send money to Bangladesh. The recipient will be able to accept the money within 40 minutes.He said that only a fee of $4.99 will be charged for $1,000 per transaction and there will no fee for transactions over $1000. A maximum of $10,000 per transaction can be sent in every transaction. The service will initially begin at Sonali Bank, Rupali Bank, Agrani Bank, Janata Bank, Uttara Bank, City Bank, Pubali Bank and be further taken up by other banks.
