Burn Hospital for Firemen: Appointment Process in Progress

    Construction of the 50 bed Burn Hospital for Fireman in Mirpur, has been completed. Authorities aim to open for service, beginning of next year. They are only waiting for manpower, confirms Fire Service Civil Defense GD Brig. Gen Ali Ahmad Khan.
    First proposal for Burn Hospital for the firemen was proposed in 2009. That proposed hospital consisted of 20 beds only. Later, it was reconsidered to increase the bed numbers based on statistics reports. 10 out of these 50 seats will always be open for regular patients.
    The construction project received funding from 2011-16 fiscal years and it was finally over this July. The 10 storied hospital’s constructional costing was near 23 crores taka. The hospital is equipped with 3 ultra-modern operation theaters & pathology services. They will also provide ambulance service throughout the country.
