The government has planned the tax as per the style of the house to increase revenue. As the new Value Added Tax (VAT) law is not effective, the government is likely to defray budget deficit of Tk 20,000 crore in the current fiscal year 2017-18. So there is a new strategy to tackle the deficit, increasing the income and trying to meet the deficit.In this regard, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said the government is thinking of meeting the budget deficit with new strategies. So this time the budget will be fixed in advance.
It is to be noted that by implementing the new VAT law, the government has announced a budget of Taka 206 billion for the fiscal year 2017-18 and announced a budget of Taka 4,266 crore.
