Dr. Amena Mohsin speaks to DOT :
The four MOU’s between India and Bangladesh are not very effective because of more important issues like the Teesta issue, border management and Rohingya crisis, according to Dr. Amena Mohsin, a Professor of DU.
The MOUs that the two countries signed in the meeting: Firstly, India will give special training to 1,800 Bangladeshi workers. Secondly, the Ministry of Health signed the contract with India’s Ayur Ministry to develop medicinal plants in alternative medicine. Thirdly, the Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) signed a MOU with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). And lastly, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority signed the agreement with India’s Hiranandani Group to attract investment in the Indian Economic Zone in Mongla.
Dr. Mohsin has also expressed sorrow on the killing of seven people by Border Security Forces (BSF) of India within five weeks, as per the report of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
