    By the end of 2018, the eighth-most-Googled question beginning with the word who was “Who is Lil Tay?
    Lil Tay boasts more than 2.5 million followers on Instagram, and each of her YouTube videos had millions of views despite the fact that her first videos only appeared in December of 2017.
    Very little is known about her personal life, and much of what is known has the potential to be fact as well as fiction.
    Nevertheless, this 9-year-old self-proclaimed hustler offers up what could be considered a master class in self-promotion in the digital era.
    She is American born and is assumed to be Filipino by ethnicity. She is now living in Los Angeles, California.
    Born in 2009, Lil Tay’s hometown is in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Her real name is indicated to be Lil Taylor Cosgrove, however, is known by other names like Lil TayTervali, Lil TayJetski, and even Lil Gucci Taylor.
    She began sharing her rags-to-riches tale on Instagram and YouTube late in 2017, and by January 2018 her antics had found an audience.
    There’s a whole genre of YouTubers who entertain by roasting fellow social-media stars, “RiceGum”, an Asian-American 21-year-old, leads the insult school with a remarkable 10 million subscribers.
    Lil Tay following in this tradition by taking aim at RiceGum. Lil Tay mocked him in a You Tube video for being three times her age and still on You Tube with nowhere near her bank account. Her first video was titled ‘LIL TAY RESPONDS TO RICEGUM (Sister Bully)’.
    He took the bait and recorded two videos in response; collectively, they’ve been viewed over 13 million times.
    Following her new found fame, Lil Tay released her debut single as a rapper in March, 2018. Her song, ‘Money Way’, was an instant hit.
    The song featured lyrics including: “I keep a chopper on me, f*ck that b*tch up all my diamonds on freeze” to shock people and it worked. The trap-influenced song launched her official career as a singer.
    Everything about her screams SHOCK.
    Her toilet, Lil Tay announced, costs more than your momma’s rent. So does her wardrobe, her bed, her jewelry, everything in her vicinity.
    She shows you on her videos and photographs that her kitchen is bigger than your entire living room. She wears Gucci belts across her chest like sashes and Louis Vuitton belts are draped around her waist.
    The signature contents she frequently uploads features Lil Tay being photographs and seen holding a stack of cash. “And I’m only 9 years old!” The captions would read.
    Not only has the grammar-schooler driven a Rolls-Royce (granted, only for five feet in a parking lot), but she has kicked one so hard she left a dent.
    She is whatever you wished you had growing up as a kid but never ever ever imagined in your wildest of dreams was remotely possible.
    Lil Tay s are here and they are kicking ass.
