New Trust Fund established at DU

DOT Desk: A new trust fund titled “Taibun Nahar Rashid and Abdur Rashid Trust Fund” has been established at the Faculty of Arts of Dhaka University (DU), reports The Daily Observer.
Ali Asgor Khurshid and Ali Bakhtiar Mahmud, two sons of Rashid family handed over a cheque for Tk 15 lakh to DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin on Sunday at the Vice-Chancellor’s office to set up this trust fund.
DU VC Prof D. M. Akhtaruzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof Dr Abu Md Delwar Hossain, were present, among others.
Thanking the donors, Prof Akhtaruzzaman said, “Members of Rashid family have started a new relation with DU by establishing this trust fund.”
