Foreign Minister Prof Dr AK Abdul Momen has expressed high hopes that Bangladesh will ensure sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030, reports Dhaka Tribune.
“To achieve the sustainable development goals, we all have to work together. We want to establish a society where everyone will get equal opportunity,” said Minister Momen as chief guest at a supply chain conference in University of Dhaka yesterday.
“Food, clothing, shelter, education, and medical care have to be ensured for all. Though it is difficult task but I believe we can do it,” he said.
Momen furthered: “We have to work with other governments in other countries and also non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to keep up the development of our country. We want everyone as our partner in the process.” Bangladesh Supply Chain Council (BSCC), in association with Dhaka University, arranged the conference. Speakers said that internship opportunities for students in supply chain management (SCM) can create more job opportunities in the sector. Experts also shared their experiences and opportunities in the SCM job sector. Former Bangladesh Bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman was present as a special guest at the program.
