Bangladeshi students shine in GCSE, A level exams

    DOT Desk: A total of 689 Bangladeshi students, who achieved Edexcel High Achievers’ Award 2018, were awarded for their outstanding results in International GCSE and A Level Examination in 2018, reports The New Age.
    Pearson’s largest qualification brand Edexcel, in collaboration with British Council, handed over the awards to the students at a ceremony held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre. It was their 7th academic award giving ceremony.
    Among the awardees, 37 students achieved highest marks in different subjects. There were 572 International GCSE and 80 International A Level awardees. These students have achieved minimum seven A grades in their International GCSE subjects and four A grades in A Level. There are some students who have achieved even Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury said that teaching quality in English medium schools had gone through an improvement in Bangladesh resulting in the great achievements of the students at the international level. He urged the students to contribute towards building the nation after acquiring vast knowledge from the world.
    Speakers highly appreciated the students for their outstanding results and expressed their gratitude to the school teachers and guardians.
