Banglanews24: The user has to type KYD and 15-digit IMEI number (found on mobile phone packet, without the asterisk numbers i.e. *#) with a space and send to 16002 number. (KYD<space>15-digit IMEI number). For checking an old handset, the user has to press *#06# to get the IMEI number and to follow the same process mentioned above. BTRC will send the user confirmation message whether his/her handset is legal and the IMEI number is stored on the database.
