The Express: “Facebook isn’t in a position to adjudicate disputes between third parties.
“If you believe this content shouldn’t have been removed from Facebook, you can contact the complaining party directly to resolve your issue.”
TorrentFreak is reporting that the notice came from Sky with the owner of KodiTips saying contesting the shut down would be a waste of “time and energy”.The satellite TV firm is clearly concerned about the threat from illegal streaming with the company telling Express.co.uk: “We were pleased to see Facebook shutdown this page that clearly encourages and supports illegal piracy.”
“YouTube and others now need to follow suit and block ‘How to Use Kodi’ videos – millions of people have already watched these instruction manuals for breaking the law.” This isn’t the only time KodiTips has faced a Facebook block with its original page removed from the social media site.
After the first ban, a post of its website said: “The KodiTips Facebook page has been shut down unexpectedly after a third-party complaint for copyright infringement.
“We were given no prior warning of any infractions and we’re not given a chance to explain or defend ourselves.”
