Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has warned that anyone jeopardizing the implementation of good governance will not be spared ‘under any circumstances’. Kamal was addressing the annual sports and cultural event of Tejgaon Government High School in the capital yesterday as chief guest. “The honorable prime minister has vowed to prioritize good governance. We will do everything in our power to support her goal,” he said, adding, “A criminal will no longer get a free pass because of his or her identity or influence. If anyone commits a crime, they will have to face trial.”
When asked about the present law and order situation in Bangladesh, the home minister said, “The recent untoward occurrences are isolated incidents. The government has achieved success in eliminating the threat of terrorism and militancy.
