Banglanews24: A man and his son died after being electrocuted in Falahari village under Kabirhat upazila. The deceased are Salauddin, 48, son of Ali Ahmed, residents of Padua village and his son Sourav Hossain, 12, class VII student of a local high school.Locals said the duo came in contact with a live electric wire when Sourav was washing legs in a nearby pond after irrigating their paddy field.

When Salauddin rushed to save his son and also died on the spot after being electrocuted.
Being informed, Fire Service officials recovered the bodies from the pond around 8:00pm.
Asked about the deaths caused by faulty power supply line and delay in disconnection of power supply, Shankar Lal Datta, general manager of Noakhali Palli Bidyut Samity, declined the allegations. Legal action will be taken against involved persons if any negligence is found after investigation.
