Germany ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Fahrenholtz said the current problem regarding the ready-made garment movement over the new wage disparity should be resolved peacefully.
“There must be a peaceful mechanism to resolve these issues,” Fahrenholtz wrote in his twitter account re-twitting a news published by The Daily Star regarding yesterday’s protest by RMG workers, in which 10-15 people were injured after police charged batons and used water cannon. Readymade garment workers waged their demonstration for the sixth day yesterday. They blocked Dhaka-Tangail highway at Ashulia point and also reportedly vandalized up to 25 vehicles.
