UNB: The 10th edition of Garment Accessories and Packaging Expo-2019 (GAPEXPO) is scheduled to kick off from January 17 in the capital.
The four-day exposition will be held at the International Convention City, Bashundhara. It is being jointly organised by Bangladesh Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA), ASK Trade and Exhibition Private Limited, India, and Zakaria Trade and Fair International.
In a statement, BGAPMEA said its goal was to showcase latest products, machinery and raw materials to attract buyers.
Abdul Kader Khan, president of BGAPMEA, said the event’s aim “is to showcase latest innovative products and machinery under a common roof to establish a bridge between buyers and manufacturers.”
About 270 companies from various countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, US, UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Finland, Switzerland and Bangladesh, are expected to participate in the event.
