Ratan Tata is an industrialist not a businessmen

    Ratan Tata is an Indian industrialist, investor, philanthropist, and a former chairman of Tata Sons who serves as its chairman emeritus. He received the Padma Bhushan in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan in 2008, the third and second highest civilian honours awarded by the Government of India.
    When asked him why isn’t he the richest person in the world unlike Mukesh Ambani. His
    response is, “ They(Ambani’s are businessman, and we(Tata’s are industrialists.” This is what separates visionary is more concerned about the society rather than a one who is focused on creating wealth for oneself. How easy it could have been for the TATA group to be a superpower but 96 of their companies are run by charitable groups unlike a single owner.
    He many surely not be a billionaire on paper, but he is the richest person in the world. Having a net worth in reality far more compared to Bill gates and Warron Buffet.Even though he was born rich, he had a troubled childhood, his parents separated when he was just 7, he was raised by his grandmother.
    Ratan Tata, the man who made sure that even after his hotel The Taj was attacked, he did not leave his employees helpless while the building was being renovated post attacks.And all this while, the staff used to receive their pay-checks throughout.Not just that he made sure that his company compensated for railway employees, police staff, and even the pedestrians, the market vendors, and the shopkeepers.
    A man who doesn’t feel that he is rich, who still choses to travel economy when they have their own airlines.
    Earmarked for success he rejected an offer from IBM as he wanted to stay in his motherland always.Jaguar and Landrover were his brainchild’s the brands which he made a global success.They are practically in every business, name it and they own it but never see them including in Alcohol, Cigarette and Entertainment business.
    A man who believes, “if you want to walk fast, walk alone. But if you want to walk far, walk together.”His words of wisdom can surely help our youth shape their own paths.He said that “I admire people who are very successful. But if that success has been achieved through too much ruthlessness, then I may admire that person, but I can’t resprect him.”
