Sub-inspector Anwar Hossain of Sadar Model Police Station reportedly came under a gun attack entering in the police station on Monday night. Soon after the incident, police allegedly arrested a Joynal Abedin, member of Jatiya Party central committee in the connection with the gun attack.
Joynal Abedin entered the police station and opened fire aiming to the duty Sub-inspector Anwar Hossain around 10:30 pm but luckily the SI escaped the gun attack unhurt, said Kamrul Islam, officer-in-Charge of Sadar Model Police Station.
There are several sabotages cases against Joynal with different police stations, the OC added.
