Security analyst Major general AK Mohammed Ali Shikder said that it has turned into a matter of international concern that Jamaat is participating in election with “Dhaaner shish” which is the symbol of BNP. A proposal has been made in the US congress to ban Jamaat as a terrorist organization. The attack made by BNP and jamaat on the minority groups at the election of 2014 has also been mentioned in the proposition. Despite numerous reports in newspapers, the general secretary of BNP, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has denied the meeting held at Dhaka. Questions are bound to be asked regarding these two conflicting incidents. The idea that the detective agencies of Pakistan might be conspiring against Bangladesh with the help of BNP-Jamaat can not be brushed aside completely. A few days ago, a member of BNP Khandaker Mosharrof Hossain has sought help from an officer of the ISI, named Mahmud, over telephone. The conversation has been leaked by Thailand based news portal Asian Tribune.
In the election of 1991, ISI had given BNP a large amount of money which later had been leaked in Pakistan.
It has been made clear during 2001 2006 how Pakistan can use Bangladesh for their geo political development if BNP and Jamaat are in power. If we think about the weapon piracy of 2004, the amity between BNP-Jamaat and ISI can be understood. So in the election of 2018 it is natural that Pakistan will come forward to help BNP to win.
