Detectives in a drive arrested a suspected drug trader along with 2,300 Yaba tablets from Choto Khochabari area in the district town.
The arrestee was identified as Borhan Ali, 39, son of Abbas Ali, resident of Dolua village in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district.
Mohammad Moniruzzaman, superintendent of Thakurgaon Police, said a team of Detective Branch of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Borhan along with the Yaba tablets around 12:10 am.
A case was filed with Sadar Police Station in this connection, he added.
