Election Commission is going to impose a ban on carrying and displaying licensed arms for 12 days from December 21 and ask the owners to hand over to police their arms for seven days from December 24 ahead of the next general election slated for December 30, reports Dhaka Tribune. The commission would to issue a notification asking the people concerned except candidates to hand over their arms to police stations concerned, said EC officials.
