Rail links to Mymensingh and Bhairab snapped off on Friday after a freight train derailed at Baghmara crossing.
Four carriages of the Mymensingh-bound freight train from Chattogram skidded off the tracks at the rail crossing around 10am, said Zahirul Islam, railway station superintendent in Mymensingh.
The train communications remained suspended between Mymensingh and Bhairab due to the derailment, he said.
