Kabir Humayun: Police yesterday arrested a cash officer of Agrani Bank’s Bamondi branch in Meherpur district from his office in a case lodged for misappropriating Tk 3.25 crore.
The arrestee is Mahmudul Karim, said Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Robiul Islam, reports Daily Observer.
A case was filed against Mahmudul with Sadar Police Station on Monday on charge of misappropriating Tk 3.25 crore, he said.
Mahmudul primarily confessed that he embezzled the money while working Meherpur branch of the bank as cashier, said the OC.
