A preparatory meeting on preventing children trafficking was held at SEEP Project Office at Mirpur-6 in the capital today (Sept 18).
The programme was held to prepare a report on preventing the trafficking taking into consideration the opinions of local people, including children. The report will be submitted to the Home Ministry within a short time to help the policymakers chalk out elaborate plan for combating the crime. Social and Economic Enhancement Programme (SEEP), a consortium member of Prevention of Child Trafficking through Strengthening Community and Networking (PCTSCN), organized the event. Chaired by Jakir Hossain Kasimi, founder principal of a local madrasah, officials of SEEP, students from different educational institutions, guardians and public representatives attended the meeting.-Press Release
