What Happened to Losing Gracefully?

My my my…what a messy situation this was.
I think once again, society are too quick to jump on the bandwagon and take sides in a debate they fail to understand (thank you for helping us do this, Mr. Internet).
Why were people booing Serena’s opponent, Naomi Osaka? If this was a debate related to women’s rights (which is a stretch, in my opinion), why are we booing the other woman on court?! Am I the only one who thinks this is WEIRD?
Sure, you may not agree with Ms. Osaka’s victory, but it isn’t her fault…what do you expect her to do? Lose on purpose?
If anything, be annoyed at the umpire if you need to be annoyed at anyone at all.
Personally, I feel like Serena is using women’s rights as an excuse to justify her outburst and inability to accept losing to an “inferior opponent”.
Well done, Naomi Osaka! You should be proud.
