Govt for social media campaign ahead of polls

Kabir Humayun: The government wants to get full advantage of social media by highlighting its achievements.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office attended by information officials from different ministries, divisions, and departments, meeting sources told Banglanews.
To implement the decision, he authorities of radio, television and social networking sites, including Facebook and YouTube, were strictly asked to monitor overall activities.
Moreover, directives were given to update websites and Facebook pages of ministries.
Officials said achievements of the last 10 years of the government have to be incorporated in ministries’ websites.
