Hindu Religious Welfare Trust leader Justice Gopal Saha dies

    Our Correspondent: Hindu Religious Welfare Trust’s former vice-chairman Justice Gopal Saha has passed away.
    He breathed his last around 4:30am on Monday, leaving behind a son, three daughters and host of admirers to mourn his death.
    He was born on December 26, 1938 in Tangail’s Kalihati upazila. He secured post-graduate degrees in Economics, International Relations and History from Dhaka University.
    He joined Mymensingh bar association in 1966 and then in the Supreme Court in 1976, where he joined as a justice in 1997, retiring in 2003. From 2007 to 2009, he served as the chairman of Professional Appeal Tribunal.
