Promotion in the post of Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank

Syed Tarequzzaman, General Manager of Date Management Department of the main branch of Bangladesh Bank, has been promoted to the post of Executive Director on Wednesday. He first joined Bangladesh Bank in 1988 as an Assistant Director. In the meantime, he has performed duties in the departments of Foreign Currency Policy, Foreign Exchange Operations, Foreign Exchange Investment, Foreign Exchange Inspection, Credit Information Bureau as well as the Law Division. He obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Finance from the University of Dhaka. Syed Tarequzzaman was born to a respectable Muslim family in Barisal district. –Press Release
