Mild heat wave likely continue for couple of days

    Kabir Humayun: Mild to moderate heat wave, which is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions and a part of Tangail, may continue at places for a couple of days.
    Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Rangpur divisions and at few places over Rajshahi division with moderate to heavy falls at places over the country, according to a bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department issued yesterday morning, reports BSS.
    Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.
    On Sunday, the country’s highest temperature was recorded by 38.6 degree Celsius in Dinajpur while the lowest temperature on Monday was recorded by 24.8 degree Celsius in Gopalganj.
    Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 9:00am of the day was recorded by 68 millimtres (mm) at Nikli in Kishoreganj.
    The sun set yesterday at 6:28pm and rises at 5:36am today in Dhaka.
