Desk Report: Popular Dhallywood actor Mahiya Mahi has left the film ‘O My Love’ after signing a contract with its producers. She even returned the money she had been advanced for the project, reports Asian Age.
Mahi recently told the press: “When I sign onto a project I try to learn the ins and outs of it-including its screenplay. If everything seems right, only then I sign onto the film. The contract I had signed was not applicable later on. Mainly, I left the project as the film’s story changed.
Later on, a female actor from Kolkata signed onto the project. I wasn’t aware of that either,” she added. Mahi is currently working on several projects including Mustafizur Rahman Manik’s ‘Jannat’ slated to be released this Eid-ul-Azha. She will be seen alongside actor Symon Sadik.
The trailer for ‘Jannat’ was released on BongoBD’s official YouTube channel on May 10 and was a hit among Mahi’s fans. Mahi was last seen in the record-breaking blockbuster film ‘Dhaka Attack’ playing the role of an investigative journalist named Chaity.
