Govt appoints 5,100 senior staff nurses

    Kabir Humayun: After releasing the final results of the Senior Staff Nurse Appointment Examinations, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has recommended the appointment of 5,100 candidates.
    In a statement issued on yesterday, the commission said the candidates have been appointed to the tenth grade based on merit and existing quotas, reports bdnews24.com.
    The recommendations of 28 have been stayed either gaps in information or administrative issues.
    The PSC has instructed the applicants to submit the necessary certificates, information and documents within the appointed time.
    Last year, the PSC had appointed 4,000 senior staff nurses and 600 midwives under the Health and Family Welfare Ministry’s Directorate General of Health Services.
    On February 9 this year, the examinations were held where a total of 16,900 candidates took part.
    The PSC finalised the list of 5,100 appointees after administering the viva interview to those candidates who passed the written test.
