Washed into Padma river bed, 6 missing, 20 injured

Desk Report: At least six people went missing and 20 others were injured as river bank went down
into the Padma river
bed at Shadhurbazar area in Naria upazila on Tuesday.
The six missing are Antu Magdam, Gopi, Mosharrof Chokdar, Nasir Haoladar, Maju Chaial, Nasir Karati of the area.
A witness shopkeeper Abdul Hai claimed that, the erosion took place around 2:45pm and washed away six people and three stationary shops in the area while twenty other people were injured during the erosion.
The injured were taken to Narai Health Complex and Sariatpur Sadar Hospital, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Naria Police Station Md Aslam Uddin said three forces – police, Naval Police, Firefighters— are conducting fanatical search for who reportedly went missing in the accident.
The number of the missing people may go up, the OC added.
