Abrar Hussain: UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said yesterday they more pressure will be mounted on Myanmar to make them understand what they should do on the Rohingya issue.
“We’re keeping up pressure on Myanmar…we need to put more pressure on Myanmar to make them understand what they should do on this issue,” he said during his meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office, reports The Daily Star.
World Bank President Jim Yong Kim also met with the Prime Minister at the same time.
Guterres added that the international community reiterated their solidarity towards Bangladesh on the crisis and appreciated the Bangladesh government for giving shelter to the Rohingyas.
