Sofian Khan: Four children who were reported missing on Monday have been found dead in a pond in Hajiganj, Chandpur.
According to Jabedul Islam, Officer-in-charge (OC), the bodies were discovered floating in the pond yesterday morning.
The deceased were identified as Rahul (13), Shamim (11), sons of Wasim, Arafat Hossain Raihan (11), son of Ahsan Habib and Leon (12), son of Nazrul Islam.
“They went bathing in the pond. As they did not return home, family members thought they may have gone somewhere together,” Islam said citing villagers. Fear spread through the village as they remained missing even after dark.
