Sofian Khan: At least 12 trucks carrying imported goods from India were gutted as a fire broke out at a truck terminal of Benapole land port in Jessore yesterday. The fire was ignited following an acid containing drum exploded around 3:30am.
According to director of Benapole land port Aminul Islam, the fire burnt cotton carrying trucks, motor parts and chemical products.
A loss of Tk 10 crore might have incurred due to the fire. A three-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
