Sofian Khan: Seven people were killed with 25 more injured in two road accidents in Sirajganj, Nilphamari and Rajshahi districts. Four were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a covered van in Sirajganj.
On Bangabandhu Bridge west road, a Gaibandha-bound bus collided with a covered van leaving three people dead on the spot and 24 others injured. One of the injured died after taken to the hospital.
Two people were killed leaving two others injured after a bus hit an auto-rickshaw around 3:00 am in Nilphamari. The deceased were identified as the passengers of the auto-rickshaw, said Jaldhaka police station officer-in-charge Sohrab Hossain.
In Rajshahi, a day labourer was killed after being hit by a truck on while trying to cross the Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway in the morning.
