M Hafiz Uddin Khan, Former Advisor, Caretaker Government: I do not believe that the way the government is trying to resolve the drug situation is right at all. The process by which the anti-drug operation is being conducted has violated the human rights of many. The violation of human rights is not acceptable at all.
There have been so many allegations against lawmaker Bodi, yet they still claim that there is no proof of such accusations. Then what kind of proof is there against those who are being killed? Is planting weapons and drugs after killing them is the evidence?
The government had always known about the spread of drugs that plague the country today. Police and even several members of the ruling party are associated with the drugs business. Therefore, without addressing these issues, will killing the general people solve anything? This is the absolute violation of human rights. There is no rule of law here.
