Afrida Ahmed: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host his Bangladeshi counterpart, Sheikh Hasina today at Shantiniketan which is 160 km from Kolkata, reports hindubusinessline.
Modi will address the convocation at Visva-Bharati University in Rabindranath Tagore’s home, Shantiniketan, where Hasina will be present as well.
Modi and Hasina are expected to have bilateral talks and together launch the Banga Bhavan which was funded by Sheikh Hasina.
Banga Bhavan will have a library, an archival centre and a seminar hall. It will include books and photographs on the Bangladesh Liberation War and will have different works by Tagore. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also attend the ceremony.
