Saiful Islam, Gopalpur (Tangail): The scholarship winners of the 2017 JSC exams in Gopalpur have been awarded. The awards were distributed yesterday (Monday) afternoon at the Shadhinota Complex auditorium. Presided by Headmaster Abdul Latif, the chief guest of the event was Awami League leader Khondokar Moshiuddin Romel. Speeches were given by Pouro Mayor Rakibul Haque Chana, District Ghatok Dalal Elimination Committee Convener Advocate KM Abdus Salam, District Parishad Member Freedom Fighter Abdul Kader Talukdar, Women Vice-Chancellor Mariam Akhter Mukta, Colonel (Retd) Mirza Harun-ur-Rashid, Principal Anwarul Islam Akand, Professor Banitosh Chakrabarty, Press Club President Professor Joynul Abedin, UP Chairman Professor Abdul Momen, Roushan Khan Ayub, Secondary Education Officer Mostofa Kabir, etc. Later, awards, certificates and liberation war-related texts were distributed among the rest of the students.
