Drug influx continues despite drive

    Md. Ali Raj: As, a section of law enforcers are allegedly involved in dug trading, massive driven and influx of deadly drugs continues unabated. Many law enforcers have told that they have zero tolerance for drug dealing. Though there are some controversy against the police that they joined with the drug dealers and doing this illegal drug business from many years. Earlier, a lot of greedy policeman were caught red handed during dealing drugs like yaba and hemp from different parts of the country, including the capital, in the past. Last Wednesday, Mymensingh police has caught a constable with 800 yaba pills from the city’s Naumahal area. The detained constable, Moklesur Rahman, disclosed that he deposited the yaba pills for business purpose during the police interrogation. Hailing from different places in the Upazila, Nasir Uddin, an assistant sub-inspector of Rangamati DB and son of Nuru Miah of Dotala village in the upazila, and Kawsar were among the arrestes. While they were going to Chandina by riding a motorcycle, a team of police intercepted the duo on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, after searching their bodies and then the law enforcers recovered the yaba pills and detained them.
