Tahmeed Taha: Office timings for Ramadan have been fixed by the government. The timings for the May-June month will be from 9:00am to 3:30pm. The decision was made yesterday at a cabinet meeting which was presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office. At a press brief ing held at the Secretariat in Dhaka, this was told by Cabinet Secretary Shafiul Alam to the reporters, reports The Daily Star. From 1:15pm there would be a 15-minute prayer break. He said that for all the government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions the new timing would be effective. Depending on the sighting of the moon, the Ramadan is likely to begin from the middle of this month.
