Sayeed Muhammad: Acc-laimed author and academician Prof Zafar Iqbal, who was attacked at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in March, will return to campus today.“I am doing fine now. I have to return to the campus and take classes and hold exams,” said he, reports the Dhaka Tribune.Prof Iqbal is expected to leave for Sylhet by road his return to the campus was on March 14 after undergoing treatment following the knife attack. “I am never afraid. I am not afraid now. I will again deliver speeches at Muktamancha,” he said while addressing a reception organised by students at Muktamancha on the campus on March 14.Sylhet’s Jalalabad police OC Md Shafiqul Islam said they have been informed that Prof Iqbal was scheduled to return to today.“Police will be there to provide security on the campus round the clock. We will make strategic changes for the security of Prof Zafar Iqbal,” he said.The academic suffered serious injuries following a knife attack at a programme on March 3. He was rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.Foyzur Rahman Faizul, the attacker, was detained at the scene of the attack, who later confessed to stabbing Prof Zafar.
