US have been warned of ‘dangerous consequences’ by Jordan’s Foreign Minister if it recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Ayman Safadi said he informed US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson that such announcement would cause immense anger in the Arab and Muslim world. According to rumors, President Donald Trump will announce the move soon, fulfilling an election commitment. But Mr. Trump’s son-in-law said that no such decision has been made yet. Palestine leaders have warned that this move would threaten a two-state solution. Israel decided that Jerusalem would be its eternal capital. However, Palestinians want East Jerusalem to be the capital pf a future state. Moreoever, Palestinian President Mahmoud is trying to gather international support to persuade Mr. Trump not to make the announcement.
