Riku Amir: CNG-operated auto-rickshaw drivers operating in Dhaka have started such flexible behavior with the passenger, which was not expected two months ago. Drivers also charge less than before. It is learned that CNG operators are doing this flexible behavior on the basis of mobile phone application transport utensils ‘Uber’ and ‘Pathao’. These autorickshaw owners are also very flexible to the drivers. Besides, there are several guidelines for keeping people to ride in CNG.
Meanwhile, an emergency meeting was held at the regional office of Mirpur of Dhaka and Chittagong District CNG Auto Workers Oikya Parishad at 11am on Sunday. Chaired by Oikya Parishad convener Azizul Haque is free. Central and different police leaders of the unity council addressed the meeting.
The decision to submit the memorandum of ‘BUET’ with the procession was convened at the central Shaheed Minar at 11am on December 3, demanding no extension of expired CNG auto-rickshaw for Dhaka and Chittagong metropolitan city. Besides, the workers’ rally in Chittagong on 30 November, BRTA will be surrounded on December 10 and the Dhaka-Chittagong 48-hour strike was called on 27 and 28 December.
