Rafael Nadal wins defamation case against politician

    Rafael Nadal won a crucial defamation case against former French Health and Sports Minister Roselyne Bachelot who served from 2007 to 2010 had accused Nadal of doping in March 2016. She assumed Nadal had faked an injury in 2012 to hide a positive drug test. Nadal has never failed a drug test as per record. Bachelot was asked to pay Nadal $11800 in damages by the French tribunal. Nadal said he would donate the money to a French charity. Last year the tennis star said that he had decided to take legal action to set an example and this year he established the instance by winning the case.
