Protest to stop Muslim prayers

    Nearly 500 French politicians tried to stop Muslim men from praying on the street. The hold a banner reading “Stop Illegal Street Prayer”. The local prayer hall was closed in March 2017, when the authorities decided to convert it into a multimedia library. Since then, Muslims have been holding prayers in public. There is a massive shortage of Mosques for French’s estimated 5 million Muslims. Here in Clichy, it seems like the protests won’t stop anytime soon.
