Election Commission did not need find the necessity for changing the electoral borders for upcoming parliamentary election. This is nothing uncommon. Even after Census of Population in 1991, border rearrangement did not took place for 3 parliamentary election later on. Primarily changes in population of an area rearranges the number of parliamentary seats. So far, Census of Population was created 5 times, but electoral border rearrangement took place only 4 times. But, this population based regulation also led to diverse number of parliamentary seats in Cities from the rural or suburb areas. Since, there are only limited 300 seats. In 2008, the seats in Dhaka increased from 13 to 20 due to population increase. Chittagong & Rajshahi also followed with the addition of one extra seat. On the other hand, many suburbs lost 1 or more seats. Thus, keeping these in mind, EC decided not diversify the number of seat distribution further more.
