Complaints were filed against the former Chairman and some officers of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC). For fraudulent in buying of Fog-Lights. Ministry of Shipping sent a letter to BIWTC, giving a 15 days limit to take actions against the culprits.
The Fog-Lights supposed to be imported from USA. But, the receiving committee found irregularities both in the billing & shipping source. The case is currently under more investigation and soon to be the judgement prosecution soon to be conducted, assures current BIWTC Chairman Ranjan Shil. Currently accused suspects are, former BIWTC Chairman Md. Mizanur Rahman, GM Capt. Shawkat Ali and few others.
